Restoring one of East Austin’s historical 1890s homes into a unique space for Rosewood is the perfect opportunity to balance old and new. The space respects the integrity of history but, most importantly, creates a comfortable experience for patrons to enjoy Rosewood’s craft.

The methodology for architecture with the new addition was to create a subtle, modern backdrop to the existing historical structure. The addition houses the open kitchen and dining bar, which is a primary focal point for all to experience.
All areas of the restaurant are efficiently programed for every moment conceived by the owners. The exterior around the building is designed and landscaped with layers of plants to help activate public and private gathering spaces.
