Mini Golf and Beer Garden.

College Station, TX

PopStroke’s second collegiate prototype in College Station — a 36-hole mini-golf course and beer garden near Texas A&M University — collaborated with us to create a new branded experience using shipping containers. In collaboration with Britten, the container concept was used to create an efficient building module while helping elevate the unique user experience by grouping the containers together to create a centralized courtyard with a full-service bar and kitchen, yard games, and outdoor dining/lounge seating with views to the course.

A total of eight containers were used to create a composition of four buildings.

One container was oriented vertically to serve as a primary wayfinding element. A shade trellis was incorporated into the design to provide relief from the Texas sun. It also softens the composition of rigid boxes and reinforces the connection between the hospitality area, beer garden, and the course.

Supporting PopStroke in re-creating the classic pastime of mini golf into a dynamic new user experience gave us the opportunity to use containers once again under the new concept for Pop Stroke as they entered into the Texas market. We look forward to working with PopStroke over the next several years while they’re adding new locations across the county.
