Office Design

The Pod.

Anywhere

Despite having been successful since their inception, current coworking and office models have become inadequate. Packing people into large spaces is no longer prudent nor desirable to the health-conscious worker. As such, people are left in search of other places to work remotely. Their former accommodations are going unused to the point of being abandoned, and those buildings still in use are otherwise left empty during off-hours or weekends.

People need a flexible workspace that lets them simultaneously escape isolation while feeling that they’re doing their due diligence for the sake of public health.

What may act as a steady place of work could ironically be a space that is constantly moving. A flexible and comfortable workspace could be the solution to tomorrow’s problem.

That solution is the POD.

In times of outbreak, the POD will provide comfortable containment for those seeking refuge from their home offices. During off-hours the POD can adapt to fit the needs of new program and differing environments. POD units can be changed—grouped or ungrouped, closed off or opened, assembled and disassembled—in response to each new day.

POD units can be rapidly deployed across a city, town, or suburb to provide safe and functional spaces. All PODs are made the same, but can be adapted by the user, thus rebranding as either WorkPOD, FlexPOD, etc. Freelancers and businesses alike are able to use the PODs as needed. Those seeking an escape from their aparment in the effort to work remotely, to sell wares, or to meditate, all have a place in the POD.
