Where Light Lingers.

Charlotte, NC

Inspired by its name, Bask Apartments was envisioned as a place to slow down, soak in the moment, and embrace a more restorative pace of living. Through both architecture and interior design, the goal was to create a serene residential experience rooted in warmth, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the natural beauty of North Carolina.

Artistry in Every Detail.

From the outset, the design celebrates the handmade. Artisan plaster finishes, richly textured materials, and thoughtfully selected lighting fixtures bring a sense of authenticity and human touch to every space. Each decorative element was chosen not only for its beauty, but for the story behind its making, creating an environment where craftsmanship is felt as much as it is seen.

Materials with Meaning.

The interiors evoke the calm of a boutique retreat, balancing soft natural light, organic forms, and an earthy palette that encourages residents to unwind. Arched openings, tactile surfaces, woven textures, and natural wood details work together to create an atmosphere that feels both elevated and approachable.

I believe one secret to a successful project is having a clear brand from the design start that the entire team believes in. Thank you to Cline [and the entire project team] for executing this awesome project so well. The other secret to success? Having a team of great people you enjoy working with.”

An Ode to Place.

A defining feature of the community is a collection of three custom landscape murals by North Carolina artist Natalie Daratony. Installed throughout the amenity space, the murals celebrate the state’s diverse geography, depicting the mountains, coastline, and rolling valleys that shape its identity. These artful moments strengthen the connection between the built environment and the region it calls home.
