Leading with Purpose: Orlando Pizarro Named Charlotte Market Leader

Cline Design is proud to announce the promotion of Orlando Pizarro, AIA, LEED AP, to Charlotte Market Leader. With over 17 years at the firm and a proven record of leadership, Orlando has played a foundational role in shaping both the design culture and strategic direction of our Charlotte office.
Throughout his career at Cline, Orlando has built a diverse portfolio that spans high-rise and mid-rise multifamily developments, large-scale mixed-use communities, and commercial projects across the Southeast. His expertise, paired with a thoughtful approach to collaboration, has earned him the trust of clients, teammates, and industry partners alike.

As the former Charlotte Office Director, Orlando has overseen project delivery and day-to-day operations, while fostering a culture grounded in design excellence and accountability. In his new role, he will continue to guide client relationships, mentor teams, and support the growth of the Charlotte office as it takes on increasingly complex and transformative work.
We asked Orlando to share a piece of advice that has guided his leadership over the years.
Orlando holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico. He is a licensed architect in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and maintains professional affiliations with the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), Urban Land Institute in Charlotte (ULI), and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Orlando’s promotion marks an exciting next step for our Charlotte team. His steady leadership, attention to detail, and long-standing commitment to Cline’s values ensure a seamless transition as we continue to deliver impactful projects that shape communities across the region.
