Greenfield Commons

Greenfield Commons and Greenfield Place was imagined as a community where families, seniors and individuals qualifying for affordable housing could call home. This 149-unit affordable housing community is situated on an eight acre topographically challenged site.  The buildings front to a pedestrian-oriented main street where tenants can enjoy walks along the tree-lined streets with parallel parked spaces that culminates to the seniors building of phase two. The projects are joined with a highly integrated, pedestrian-friendly sidewalk system and greenway connector that also connects to nearby amenities. As one of the first projects developed in the Blue Hill District, Cline Design worked closely with key stakeholders from Chapel Hill and DHIC throughout the development, review and approval process.

Belvedere at Berewick

Belvedere at Berewick is an upscale luxury community for active adults 55 years of age and older. Located in the outer loop of I-485, the complex is only half a mile away from Charlotte’s Premium Outlets and close by to Berewick Town Center.

One and two bedroom floor plans offer 9-foot ceilings, granite counter tops, and stainless steel appliances. Amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness and yoga studio, game room, community kitchen and lounge, outdoor verandas and more.

The Cardinal at North Hills

Located in the heart of the vibrant North Hills Midtown District, The Cardinal at North Hills is a continuing care retirement community. The Cardinal CCRC provides of two wings with 165 independent living units, and healthcare wing comprised of 60 assisted living, skilled care, and memory support residences. A 35,500 SF clubhouse offers multiple community dining options, great room and large gathering spaces. The clubhouse also offers several amenities including fitness/wellness center with salt water pool, massage rooms, theater, art studio, library as well as a full service salon. Built to last, the structural frame is steel and concrete, utilizing high-efficiency glass and incorporating sustainable design strategies.

Renaissance Senior Living

This Hope VI community redevelopment project in Charlotte, NC received the highest ranking in the nation for 2010 Hope VI Funding. The community consists of a 120-unit senior living apartment building with integral supportive services, a variety of building types for family rental, a community building and K-7 school that supports the new and surrounding housing community. Boulevard Homes will not only serve as an affordable housing neighborhood, but will support all residents by providing educational and recreational resources for all age groups. This project was designed under Cari Jones Architecture as the lead firm working for Crosland and the Charlotte Housing Authority.

Ellsworth Commons

Cline Design Associates provided architectural services for Ellsworth Commons, a 68 unit affordable housing project. The project features 40 two-bedroom units in two building types. The project is funded through NCHFA tax credits and includes a large community center with multipurpose room, computer center and screened porch. Additional amenities include community garden plots and outdoor seating areas.
